Job summary

Vast is hiring an Operations Specialist in Long Beach to support daily office and operational needs, moves, and setup tasks. You will help ensure spaces are organized, stocked, and ready for teams, while learning Vast’s core systems and safety standards.

This is a fast-paced, full-time non-exempt role supporting a growing space-focused operations team. Responsibilities include furniture assembly, onboarding setups, inventory tasks, event support, and following established procedures to maintain

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in operations, facilities, workplace services, logistics, hospitality, retail operations, or a related hands-on support role.
• Ability to follow clear instructions, complete assigned tasks, and communicate issues promptly.
• Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs unassisted.
• Experience managing day-to-day office operations and workspace readiness.
• Basic familiarity with ticketing, inventory tracking, or vendor coordination.
• Knowledge of space planning, safety, and operational workflows.

Responsibilities

• Assist with organizing, moving, and staging equipment and supplies.
• Assemble furniture and prepare workstations for new hires, including desks, chairs, and file cabinets.
• Support onboarding setups and day-to-day workspace readiness.
• Stock office, shop, and operational supplies as needed.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown.
• Perform basic equipment moves up to 40 lbs unassisted.
• Complete assigned tickets, checklists, and daily task lists.
• Escalate issues, risks, or missing information to senior team members.
• Follow safety protocols and operational procedures.
• Support general office and operations tasks as assigned.
