Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an intern to contribute to the Space Enterprise Design and Optimization efforts. You will work on constellation design, orbit tradespace, and space-system optimization, interfacing with national space programs and customers across multiple locations.

The role emphasizes hands-on analysis, collaboration with experienced staff, and development of communication materials for technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master's or PhD in aerospace/astronautical/mechanical engineering, physics, OR OR related field.
• Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks and return to studies after internship.
• coursework in astrodynamics/orbital mechanics and space-based modeling/analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply technical skills in constellation design and astrodynamics for national space programs.
• Collaborate with Aerospace staff to build analyses and simulate tasks across focus areas.
• Prepare technical presentations and reports for leads and customers.
• Work with teams across multiple locations and manage multiple projects.
• Receive mentorship from full-time staff during the internship.
• Support tasking that varies with project needs during the program.
