Job summary

Axiom Space in Houston seeks a motivated Legal Intern for Summer 2027. This temporary internship supports the in-house legal team on contracts, regulatory compliance, and governance matters.

You will draft, review, and redline agreements; research ITAR/EAR, FAR/DFARS; and assist with corporate records, IP, data privacy, and litigation tasks under attorney supervision.

This onsite role runs June 1 to August 20, with opportunities to learn across aerospace law and policy.

Qualifications

• Rising 2L student at an ABA-accredited law school in good standing.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher required.
• Strong legal research and writing skills are essential.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and redline commercial contracts and support negotiations under attorney supervision.
• Research ITAR/EAR export controls, government contracting (FAR/DFARS), and aerospace regulation; prepare memos.
• Track compliance and prepare materials for regulatory filings and audits.
• Prepare corporate governance documents, including board/shareholder materials and entity maintenance records.
• Research intellectual property, data privacy, employment, and litigation matters as needed.
• Help improve legal department processes and manage documentation systems.
