Job summary

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking an Electronics Designer on the Imaging team to own the electronics architecture for space-bound imaging payloads.

You will define the electrical architecture, perform build-vs-buy tradeoffs, lay out hardware, bring up boards, qualify hardware, and drive flight-ready designs in rapid design cycles.

Collaborate across firmware, optics, mechanical, systems, and program teams to deliver robust, manufacturable hardware for space missions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience spanning system-level architecture, electronics design, and hands-on test.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience owning designs end to end and delivering hardware on aggressive timelines.
• Ability to debug hardware in the lab and work in rapid design cycles.

Responsibilities

• Own the electronics architecture for imaging payloads and drive architectural tradeoffs.
• Lead PCBAs design, layout, bring-up, and qualification for EO/IR systems.
• Translate sensor models into electrical requirements and challenge non-critical requirements.
• Drive rapid design-build-test cycles from prototype to flight-ready designs.
• Design for space environment (radiation, thermal, vacuum, vibration, launch loads).
• Incorporate DFM/DFA for scalable production as programs mature.
• Lead board bring-up, integration, and troubleshooting during tests.
• Collaborate with firmware, optics, mechanical, systems, and program teams.
• Mentor engineers and participate in design reviews.
• Document architectures, designs, analyses, and test results for flight readiness.
