Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an Electronics Designer for the Imaging team in Boston to own the electronics architecture of space-bound imaging payloads. You will define electrical systems, make build-versus-buy tradeoffs, and hands-on layout, bring-up, and qualification of hardware.

You will steer power, sensor, and interface electronics, lead rapid design-build-test cycles, and ensure manufacturability and EMI/EMC compliance from day one.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience with end-to-end ownership.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ownership of electronics architecture for complex sensor systems.
• Strong analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics design experience.
• Hands-on debug in the lab and hardware bring-up.
• Experience delivering hardware on aggressive timelines.
• Excellent engineering judgment under schedule pressure.
• Ability to collaborate across a multidisciplinary team.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical architecture for imaging payloads and drive tradeoffs (COTS vs rad-hard, power, sensor, data).
• Lead PCB design, layout, bring-up, and qualification of analog/mixed-signal electronics.
• Translate sensor models into electrical requirements and prune non-critical paths.
• Drive rapid design-build-test cycles and converge on flight-ready designs.
• Design for space environment and lead TVAC, vibe, EMI/EMC testing.
• Incorporate DFM/DFA from the first schematic for scalable production.
• Lead board bring-up, integration, and troubleshooting during testing.
• Collaborate with firmware, optics, mechanical, systems, and program teams.
• Mentor engineers and participate in design reviews.
• Document architectures and test results to support flight readiness.
