Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking a Hardware Electrical Engineer to design space-grade, high-rel embedded hardware, including FPGA solutions and compute/storage modules for aerospace and defense platforms. You will lead board-level development from concept through production, balancing performance with reliability in extreme environments.

The role requires a bachelor's in electrical or computer engineering, hands-on board design experience, familiarity with Cadence tools, and the ability to obtain

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent.
• 1+ years in board-level hardware design or related roles.
• Experience with embedded digital hardware using microprocessors and FPGAs.
• Strong circuit design, schematic capture and signal integrity knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop board-level digital circuits and modules from concept to production.
• Manage embedded hardware development including compute and storage modules.
• Design high-performance PCBs for space missions.
• Perform design verification, peer reviews and testing to ensure mission readiness.
• Collaborate with manufacturing on DFM/DFT and issue investigations.
