Job summary

Mercury Systems in Andover, MA is seeking a Senior Principal Hardware Electrical Engineer to own end-to-end rugged electronic designs for mission-critical systems. You will shape architectures, lead hands-on development, and mentor a technical team across embedded computing, high-speed digital hardware, FPGAs, and secure processing for aerospace and defense missions.

The ideal candidate has space electronics experience including rad-tolerant/hard components, strong SI skills, and a track record

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• 10+ years in electrical board design from concept through production
• Experience with high-speed interfaces, memory technologies, and next-gen interconnects
• Experience with signal integrity
• US Citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic technical leadership and execution for complex digital hardware programs from concept through production
• Architect advanced electrical circuit solutions involving secure processing, storage, networking, FPGAs, high-speed interfaces, and extreme environment electronics
• Develop advanced high-speed digital design including 400G+ Ethernet, PCIe Gen5+, DDR5+, and modern interconnects
• Contribute to engineering best practices, design guidelines, and process improvements that scale across the organization
• Execute the development and verification of highly complex circuits, modules, and systems
• Advise senior leadership on technical risks, cost, schedule, and strategic direction
