Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Hardware Electrical Engineer to own end-to-end digital and rugged electronic designs. You will influence architecture, mentor teams, and shape systems for air, land, sea, and space programs.

The ideal candidate has extensive space electronics experience, including rad-tolerant/rad-hard components, and a track record delivering high‑reliability, mission-critical hardware in demanding environments.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering required.
• Typically 10+ years in electrical board design spanning concept through production.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces, memory technologies, and next-gen interconnects.
• Experience with signal integrity and robust design practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic technical leadership for digital hardware programs end-to-end.
• Architect advanced electrical circuits including secure processing and rugged electronics.
• Develop high‑speed digital design (e.g., 400G+ Ethernet, PCIe Gen5+, DDR5+).
• Contribute to design guidelines and process improvements across the org.
• Execute development and verification of complex circuits, modules, and systems.
• Advise leadership on technical risk, cost, schedule, and direction.
