Job summary

Mercury Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Hardware Electrical Engineer to lead substrate and hardware design for rugged microelectronics in defense/aerospace. You will shape engineering standards and guide complex decisions to ensure extreme reliability in harsh environments.

You will work across sites to develop SiPs using Cadence tools, mentor engineers, and contribute to proposals, BOE inputs, and cost/schedule estimates. A DoD clearance is often required for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience leading microelectronics packaging efforts across teams.
• Strong circuit design and troubleshooting across digital/analog/power.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop complex SiP designs from concept to production.
• Lead high‑reliability hardware development for RF and digital circuits.
• Manage fast interfaces (Ethernet, PCIe, DDR, USB) and signal integrity.
• Provide technical leadership and peer reviews to minimize risk.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, test, and BOM/BOE inputs.
