Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) in El Segundo, CA seeks Design Engineers to serve as Structural and Payload Design Engineers. You will develop and modify structural and MGSE designs using Creo Parametric to provide engineering definitions across the product lifecycle.

You will apply GD&T (ASME Y14.5M), verify that designs meet requirements, and collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to enable production and test activities while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience using CAD software and interpreting 3-D models.
• Experience in Space Hardware environments such as satellites.
• Strong background in structural, payload, or systems engineering.
• Experience with composite materials and processes (honeycomb, carbon fiber).
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, interpret, and modify basic structural and payload designs using 3-D CAD tools.
• Understand GD&T (ASME Y14.5M) standards and apply them.
• Validate that systems meet requirements and specifications.
• Coordinate with suppliers to optimize design and achieve program goals.
• Develop new design and analysis processes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define interfaces and produce engineering docs.
