Job summary

Peraton is seeking a full-time Engineering Technician in Greenbelt, MD to support the Space Exploration Network Services and Evolution (SENSE) contract. You will operate the MOBLAS-7 ground station and perform maintenance and calibration tasks on RF measurement equipment.

Qualifications

• AS/AA degree with 2+ years of related experience, or 2 years of technical training with 5+ years, or HS/GED with 9 years.
• Minimum 1-2 years of related experience as a ground system or console operator.
• Ability to follow operational and/or maintenance procedures.
• Ability to perform standalone shift work.

Responsibilities

• Operate the MOBLAS-7 station 8 hours per day, 5 days a week to collect satellite range data.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on all systems.
• Complete regular ground tests to calibrate instrumentation.
• Coordinate with remote engineering team to troubleshoot malfunctions and perform corrective maintenance.
• Review blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering instructions for assembling equipment.
• Prepare operating and malfunction reports and evaluate data.

Education
