Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies Corp. is seeking an SMT Technician in San Francisco to program and optimize PCB assembly equipment for satellites and ground support gear.

You will support the entire SMT process and rapidly resolve line-down events to meet development and production dates. Responsibilities include developing reflow profiles, programming printers and AOI, creating SLS and x-ray verification, and supporting wash and inspection steps.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years of hands-on technician experience in aerospace, automotive, or similar industries.
• Ability to read assembly drawings, work instructions, and travelers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support new developments.
• Work with design and manufacturing engineers to document future activities.
• Must be onsite 5 days a week.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop reflow profiles meeting TAL and peak temperature requirements.
• Program paste printer, pick and place, and jet printer; verify programs are defect-free.
• Create AOI programs for inspection.
• Develop SLS profiles and verify with x-ray inspection.
• Support wash, depaneling, and x-ray inspection processes.
