Job summary

Astranis in Northern California, USA, is seeking an SMT Technician to program and support the SMT process for PCBA assemblies on our satellites. You will help develop reflow profiles, program printers, and verify programs to meet development and production milestones. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years hands-on tech experience in related industries, and onsite work five days a week. We value attention to detail and collaboration with cross-functional engineers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• 2+ years hands-on technician experience in aerospace, automotive, or similar industries.
• Ability to read assembly drawings, work instructions, and travelers.
• Work with cross functional engineering team to support new developments.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to develop and document future activities.
• Must be onsite 5 days a week.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop reflow profiles that meet peak temperature and TAL requirements.
• Program a paste printer, pick and place machine, and jet printer and verify programs are defect-free.
• Create automated optical inspection (AOI) programs.
• Develop selective soldering (SLS) profiles and verify programs with X-ray inspection.
• Support wash, depaneling and X-ray inspection processes.
