Job summary

Redwire Space Missions, LLC in Littleton, CO is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer (all senior levels) to contribute hands-on design of space-qualified power electronics hardware.

You will design and analyze high-efficiency DC/DC converters, perform worst-case and thermal assessments, create schematics with OrCAD, and collaborate across systems, manufacturing and test teams to ensure production readiness for space missions. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience designing electronic circuits using ECAD tools.
• Experience with analog circuit design including SMPS and GaN FETs.
• Experience with OrCAD X for schematics capture and PCB collaboration.
• SPICE-based simulation tools experience.
• Experience with FPGA, microcontroller, or microprocessor-based control and telemetry interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze high-efficiency DC/DC converters and power switching circuits with GaN FETs.
• Perform worst-case, stability, and thermal assessments to meet mission requirements.
• Create schematics and manage PCB design reviews using OrCAD; coordinate with layout engineers.
• Support component selection for space applications including derating and radiation considerations.
• Maintain design documentation and data packages for reviews.
• Support hardware bring-up, validation testing, and integration with spacecraft power subsystems.
• Collaborate with systems, manufacturing, and test engineering for production readiness.
