Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support Space Force Range operations, leveraging FAR compliance and strong vendor management. This role will manage purchasing activities, BPAs, and reporting within ERP systems.

You will coordinate security requirements for vendors, help with budgeting, and drive efficiency through developed tools and processes. Requires DoD-related procurement experience and a relevant degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of purchasing experience, including government contracts and FAR compliance.
• Experience in supply chain management, logistics, and vendor negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Execute purchasing activities for materials, supplies, and services in compliance with FAR and policies.
• Solicit, evaluate, and award purchase orders, including competitive bids.
• Validate requisitions and prepare purchase orders with accurate delivery timelines.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and resolve discrepancies.
• Issue and maintain BPAs and ensure procurement record retention.
• Coordinate badging and security requirements for vendors accessing Space Force bases.
• Expedite deliveries and monitor vendor performance.
• Process invoices and collaborate with Accounts Payable for timely payments.
• Support budgeting activities and expenditure tracking using Excel and ERP systems.
• Develop and maintain procurement tools to improve efficiency and reporting.
