Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Subcontracts Specialist Professional for the Space Force Range Contract. This role supports the full lifecycle of subcontract administration for complex government and commercial programs at Vandenberg AFB, CA or Patrick AFB, FL.

The successful candidate will negotiate subcontracts, ensure FAR/DFARS compliance, perform price analysis, and assist proposal efforts. Strong DoD program experience and advanced Excel skills are preferred; U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of contracting, subcontracting and/or procurement experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in FAR/DFARS compliance requirements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and negotiate subcontracts, teaming agreements, NDAs, and other contractual documents.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and 2 CFR 200 requirements for federal contracts.
• Conduct subcontract price analysis.
• Support negotiations with partners and vendors on terms, conditions, and pricing.
• Support proposal efforts, including risk assessment and subcontractor document collection.
• Maintain accurate records in contract management systems and ensure audit readiness.
• Collaborate with program managers and finance teams to align subcontract strategies with project objectives.
