Job summary

Amentum Space Exploration Division (ASED) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to develop Creo CAD models and 2‑D drawings for NASA Space Reactor‑1 Freedom, supporting Mars exploration hardware. You will work within an integrated team, manage tight schedules, and interface with NASA civil servants and contractors.

Required BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program with 5–10 years (or MS with 3+ years) of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET‑accredited institution.
• BS with 5–10 years experience or MS with 3+ years experience.
• US citizen with STAR ID is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop Creo CAD models and fabrication drawings for NASA Space Reactor-1 Freedom program.
• Meet aggressive delivery schedules and support flight hardware delivery dates.
• Collaborate with NASA, other contractors, and MSFC management.
• Prepare reports and presentations to stakeholders.
