Job summary

Amentum Space Exploration Division (ASED) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to develop Creo CAD models and fabrication drawings for NASA Space Reactor-1 Freedom studies, supporting future Mars exploration. The role requires meeting tight schedules and working with NASA civil servants and contractors.

You will join an integrated product team to release engineering and production drawings, provide fabrication support, and participate in meetings and status reviews with MSFC and Amentum management.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• MS in Mechanical Engineering is a plus.
• Pro-E/Creo 3D modeling and 2D drafting experience.
• Knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and statics/dynamics.
• U.S. Citizenship and STAR ID are required.

Responsibilities

• Develop Creo CAD models and fabrication drawings for NASA Space Reactor-1 Freedom study for future Mars exploration.
• Meet aggressive schedules for conceptual, testing and flight hardware delivery dates.
• Collaborate with NASA Civil Servants and contractors in an integrated product team.
