Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) invites students pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in computer science, software engineering, or related fields to join the Embedded Applications group as an intern.

You will help build software systems for spaceflight projects, from flight software to modeling and simulation, under an experienced mentor. You will work on challenging problems, gain exposure to high-reliability software, and contribute to space exploration missions while

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. in CS/SE/CE/EE or related field.
  • GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Experience or coursework in C or C++.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret-level security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to software projects in the Space Exploration Sector from flight software to modeling, simulation, verification, analysis and/or research.
  • Work with a team and mentor to build new software capabilities for space exploration projects.
