Job summary

Space Dynamics Laboratory seeks mission engineers to serve as embedded SMEs for SpRCO and SSC CPO, developing national space capabilities and tactics for the next generation of United States space systems.

The role focuses on enterprise architectures, secure cloud networks, and collaboration with DoD and intelligence community stakeholders in a secure facility. A TS/SCI clearance and 10+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

U.S. citizen with TS/SCI clearance required.
BS in Systems Engineering, IT, CS, or related technical field.
10+ years of enterprise-level systems engineering experience in DoW or aerospace sectors.
Understanding of USSF networks and IT mission systems across on‑prem and cloud.
Strong ability to present complex concepts to executive leadership.
Willingness to work full-time on-site inside a secure customer facility.

Responsibilities

Develops enterprise architectures using structured systems engineering and mission engineering.
Leads end-to-end enterprise engineering initiatives to modernize USSF capabilities.
Delivers SME guidance to embedded customer leadership for long-term infrastructure.
Performs site surveys, specifies equipment, and creates system designs.
Develops system functionality, signal flow, and performance requirements.
Performs mission threads analysis to identify gaps, dependencies, risks.
Authors technical baselines, engineering products, and interface docs.
Establishes governance frameworks aligning modular open-systems standards.
Integrates cloud-based network architectures into a cyber secure environment.
