Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a highly skilled Staff EMI/EMC Engineer to join our aerospace team in Florida. You will lead EMI/EMC control plans, guide design teams, and coordinate testing for phased array systems; applying CST, HFSS and FEKO simulations to predict interference and drive compliant, robust performance.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in EMI/EMC engineering in aerospace/defense, knowledge of MIL-STD-461/DO-160/ECSS, and proven ability to work across design, test, and systems engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of EMI/EMC engineering experience in aerospace/defense is preferred.
• Deep understanding of EMI/EMC principles, standards (MIL-STD-461, DO-160, ECSS).
• Experience with EMI/EMC test equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EMI/EMC control plans and mitigation strategies.
• Provide technical guidance on EMI/EMC considerations to design teams.
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct EMI/EMC testing for modules and phased array systems.
• Use simulation tools to model EM fields and predict interference at multiple levels.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and documentation for EMI/EMC.
• Investigate EMI/EMC issues and develop corrective actions.
• Prepare comprehensive test reports and design guidelines for stakeholders.
• Lead initiatives to improve EMI/EMC design practices and tooling.
• Mentor junior engineers on EMI/EMC design and testing.
