Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington, MA seeks a space electronics lead engineer to head a team responsible for design, integration, and test of next generation space payloads and systems. You will guide analog, digital, RF, and power designs, mentor staff, and coordinate with sponsors.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on engineering with strong communication and risk assessment skills, and you must be able to obtain DoD TS clearance.

Qualifications

• PhD in Electrical Engineering with 3 years related experience.
• In lieu of PhD, a Master’s degree with 10 years related experience is acceptable.
• Significant coursework and experience in high reliability electronics design: analog/digital, power, RF, or satellite subsystems.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
• Ability to obtain security clearance from DoD.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of electrical engineers in the design, integration, and test of space payloads and systems.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate design reviews across subsystems.
• Interface with sponsors, inform system requirements and performance analyses.
