Job summary

Varda Space Industries is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Intern in El Segundo, CA. You will support the EHS team across engineering, manufacturing, and pharmaceutical operations, helping identify hazards, assist in implementing HazCom and PPE controls, and contribute to environmental compliance.

This full-time on-site internship is open to students enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in accredited undergraduate or graduate program.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead JHAs across engineering, manufacturing, and pharmaceutical operations to identify risks and implement controls.
• Drive safe handling of hazardous chemicals through HazCom and PPE programs.
• Maintain environmental compliance by guiding departments in waste disposal.
• Conduct regular maintenance and inspection of safety systems and equipment.
• Assist with emergency preparedness and response procedures.
