Varda Space Industries seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for Spring 2027 to bridge design and production. The role is on-site in El Segundo, CA, full-time, with hands-on work on spacecraft hardware, tooling, and manufacturing processes.

You will learn from aerospace professionals and contribute to mission-critical projects in a startup environment. Ideal candidates are enrolled in an engineering or physics program, with coursework in thermodynamics, statics, and experience with CAD,

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience from projects or internships.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes (5S, floor space, etc).
• CAD modeling/assembly experience with engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Own or contribute to factory design to support production scaling.
• Create new production processes or improve existing workflows.
• Optimize hardware designs for manufacturability.
• Perform hands-on production tasks or support operations as needed.
