Job summary

Varda Space Industries, Inc. offers a spring internship in Manufacturing Engineering, based on on-site work in El Segundo, CA. Selected students must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program and will bridge design and actual production on spacecraft hardware.

You will gain hands-on experience with flight hardware, build operations, and real-time problem solving, contributing to manufacturability improvements and production tooling design.

Qualifications

• Hands-on project or internship experience.
• Familiar with manufacturing processes (5S, floor space).
• CAD modeling/assembly experience.
• Pursuing Engineering/Physics degree (Manufacturing/Mechanical/Aerospace).
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Own or contribute to factory design to support production scaling needs.
• Create new production processes or improve workflows.
• Optimize hardware designs for manufacturability.
• Perform hands-on production tasks or support production operations.
