Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Electronic Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) Engineer - Level 3/4 for the Gilbert, AZ location. The role involves collaborating with flight hardware and test engineers to define UUT requirements, develop test equipment, and validate components under diverse environments including thermal vacuum.

Responsibilities include end-to-end design, debugging, testing, and certification of CTE/ATE systems, plus creating test procedures and coordinating with design reviews.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience with Bachelors in STEM; 3 years with Masters; 1 year with PhD
  • Ability and willingness to obtain a Government Clearance
  • Experience documenting and developing cable drawings/wiring diagrams
  • Experience designing test hardware
  • Fundamental understanding of electrical circuit schematics

Responsibilities

  • Developing requirements for testing of space vehicle components or UUT.
  • Working with the Cognizant Engineer and Test Engineer of flight hardware to obtain the UUT specification requirements.
  • Ensuring that the CTE/ATE system will validate circuit cards and/or electronics box under all test environments.
  • End-to-end design, debug, test, and certification of CTE/ATE systems.
  • Documentation, development, and release of the CTE/ATE systems.
  • Generating Certification Test Procedures.
