Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Communication Architectures Modeling and Analysis Engineering Grad Intern for the CAD within MPD. This full-time, onsite role in El Segundo, CA, offers hands-on work across RF systems, satellite communications, and signal processing, with mentorship and project-based learning.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an advanced STEM degree, with GPA 3.0+, experience in Python/C/C++, Matlab, and Git, and readiness to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college/university pursuing an advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or another STEM field.
• Minimum GPA 3.0, transcripts required.
• Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks and return to degree program after completion.
• Experience programming in Python, C/C++, or Matlab; exposure to Git for version control.
• Project experience in communications theory, digital signal processing, electromagnetics, or satellite communications.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US government security clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of communication architectures to support mission objectives.
• Develop tools to analyze and evaluate communication architectures.
• Assess performance of satellite and ground systems, links, and wireless protocols.
• Design, build, and test prototype RF systems interfacing with satellite communications performance.
• Document work products in briefings and technical reports for customers and colleagues.
• Project tasks may vary and include multiple concurrent projects.
