Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is hiring a Communication Architectures Modeling and Analysis Engineer for the Communication Architectures Department in the Mission Payloads Division. This full‑time, on‑site position is based in El Segundo, CA, where you will analyze terrestrial and space-based communications, prototype hardware, and document results for customers.

You will work with Python, C++, and C, evaluating RF and network protocols, and collaborating on internal R&D projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related field; within 12 months of conferment.
• Minimum GPA 3.0, transcripts required; 0–1 year of industry experience.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or C.
• Strong knowledge in wireless communications and signal processing.
• Version control with Git/Bitbucket; Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical analyses for terrestrial and space-based communication systems.
• Develop working prototypes to demonstrate capability improvements.
• Assess performance of satellite and ground systems and wireless links.
• Document work products in briefings and reports for customers.
