Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation, based in El Segundo, CA, seeks a Principal Director for the Space C2 segment within the BMC3I portfolio. This on-site role leads interdisciplinary teams and drives systems engineering, acquisition planning, and capability delivery to national security space programs.

Candidates should have 12+ years in space mission ground/software programs, top-level security clearance, and strong leadership and stakeholder-management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent field.
• 12+ years in acquisition and development of space mission ground/software intensive systems or modeling/simulation.
• 3+ years of people management with staffing, coaching and performance development.
• Experience building and leading integrated government, SE&I, SETA and FFRDC teams.
• Experience solving integration challenges between programs.
• Experience influencing stakeholders to deliver results.
• Experience with government system acquisition and lifecycle processes.
• Excellent communication with customers, reports, colleagues and senior management.
• Willingness to travel approx. 20%.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with ability to obtain SAP; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Aerospace efforts aligned to BMC3I customer needs in software/hardware development and transition to operations.
• Direct resources across the BMC3I portfolio to deliver integrated solutions to warfighters.
• Provide technical advisement to government officials and Aerospace leaders on plans and strategies.
• Set strategy and goals; mentor staff and drive engagement.
• Conduct budget planning and allocate resources; coordinate recruitment to fill positions.
• Maintain relationships with customers, contractors, ETG and other teams.
