Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Remote Sensing Architecture Technical Engineer to use modeling and simulation for verification and AoA analyses of space-based sensing architectures. The role is full-time and on-site at Chantilly, VA, with possible consideration for El Segundo, CA or Colorado Springs, CO.

Key tasks include supporting geospatial and signals intelligence analyses, presenting results, and aiding in expanding the organization’s simulation capabilities for diverse customers.

Qualifications

• MS degree in aerospace engineering or related field from an accredited program (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months).
• 0 - 1 yr of industry experience post bachelor’s degree in modeling/simulation or mission analysis is acceptable.
• Familiarity with Python, C/C++, or HPC/Linux environments is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis in mission areas like geo-spatial or signals intelligence and space protection.
• Apply engineering methods to research, development, and acquisition decisions for space-based sensing architectures.
• Perform architecture evaluation modeling using in-house tools and presentations of results.
• Plan and conduct deep dives, trade studies, and assessments with senior staff and customers.
• Develop clear, technically accurate presentations and reports for technical leads and management.
