Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Space-Based Interceptor Launch Integration and Operations Engineering Lead to support the SBI Program Office. You will guide end-to-end integration across space, ground, and user segments and oversee test campaigns for mission-critical interfaces.

The role requires extensive experience in space systems, DoD acquisition processes, and strong leadership communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• 8 years of experience in Test and Evaluation (T&E) and verification of space-to-ground or ground-to-user interfaces.
• Knowledge of DoDI test and evaluation processes and acquisition policies (DT/OT/TEMP/SEMP).
• Experience with test planning, execution, and analysis using statistical tools and test management software.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Direct experience with space systems and satellite/ground system operations.
• Top Secret/SCI clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end systems integration and test activities across space, ground, and user segments.
• Develop and execute test plans, verification procedures, and validation approaches for critical interfaces.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary integration efforts via SIPs, STIPs, and SEPs.
• Execute DT, OT, and integrated test campaigns; analyze results and recommend mitigations.
• Support Agile and DevSecOps practices, CI/CD, and cloud architecture integration.
• Provide risk management and mission assurance through trade studies and technical analysis.
