The role leads SBI ground-segment engineering, guiding a team of technical experts to support the government SBI Program Office and space defense initiatives.

Ideal candidates will hold a STEM degree, possess 12+ years of related experience, and demonstrate strategic leadership, clear communication, and collaboration across organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent technical area of study.
• 12 or more years of relevant professional or educational experience.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for interactions at all levels of corporate and government leadership.
• Proven leadership ability to operate strategically, including leading teams contributing to strategic objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across organizations and manage competing priorities.
• Track record of delivering results through effective delegation while holding oneself accountable for results.
• This position requires a current and active Top Secret/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government.
• U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a dynamic team providing technical expertise to the SBI Ground Segment.
• Exemplify Aerospace values when serving the SBI government program office and government customers.
• Enable direct reports to bring technical expertise to government and industry from SMEs.
• Collaborate with the broader defense architecture team and external stakeholders.
• Foster a culture of innovation to support rapid capability development with novel acquisition approaches.
• Define Space Segment objectives and communicate them to subordinates and matrix organizations for clear, aligned program execution.
