Job summary

Amentum Space Exploration Division (ASED) is seeking a hands-on hardware/firmware technician to support assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and limited design activities in distributed computing and simulation labs.

You will work with certifications, perform equipment setups, and contribute to emulator and lab builds while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet performance goals. Expect travel and career development opportunities near NASA facilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent; 4-6 years experience, or an Associate's Degree with 2-6 years experience.
• U.S. citizen with STAR ID.
• Experience in electronic hardware assembly and test.
• Familiarity with launch vehicle avionics HWIL systems integration and test.
• Knowledge of systems engineering processes.

Responsibilities

• Support systems integration functions
• Support software/hardware integration troubleshooting and bug-fix activities
• Enter or update documentation into appropriate control system
• Troubleshoot simulation anomalies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet performance goals
• Provide weekly written and oral status reports in a meeting setting
• Build Computer Racks for emulator systems and install compnodes
• Activities will be ongoing as the launch vehicle architecture matures and the SLS program progresses
