Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Avionics Development Technician to design, build, and maintain hardware supporting HITL, hardware development, and EMI engineering teams across vehicles. The role involves building test systems, harnessing for flight avionics, PCBAs rework, and documenting test setups.

The candidate should have 1+ years in wire harness fabrication, durable hand skills, and familiarity with electronics test equipment. Overtime and weekend work may be required, with a focus on on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience manufacturing wire harnesses or electro-mechanical sub-assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Build test systems, electromechanical assemblies, and test fixtures.
• Design and build electrical harnessing for flight avionics QA.
• Perform rework on PCBAs.
• Design and document test systems and wiring diagrams based on design intent.
• Interpret documentation and provide feedback to support designs and docs.
• Read schematics, BOMs, and drawings to execute assemblies.
• Monitor progress and deliver on-time.
• Assist with production processes for first-time runs.
• Support qualification tests by setting up tests and running software as directed.
