Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer to lead automated testing efforts for spaceflight software. The role focuses on designing, developing, and implementing automated testing frameworks using Python, with a strong emphasis on testing best practices and leadership of a testing team.

Travel up to 25% is required. Base pay range is provided for WA; the role offers growth through advanced testing tools and CI/CD integration in an aerospace context.

Qualifications

• Requires experience with spacecraft/satellite test development or hardware testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in test automation using Python.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with Git and version control.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to understand project/testing requirements.
• Implement testing strategies to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Analyze test results, identify trends, and report findings to developers.
• Continuously improve test automation processes and frameworks.
• Ensure robust test coverage across all application components.
• Periodically supporting testing events on second shift.
