Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Automation Test Engineer to design, develop, and implement automated testing frameworks using Python. The role requires leading a team of testers, collaborating with developers, and driving high-quality software delivery.

Occasional second-shift testing and travel up to 15% are possible, with a strong emphasis on test automation best practices. Candidates should have 3+ years in spacecraft/test automation, a BS in a related field, experience with Git, and familiarity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in test automation using Python.
• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python.
• Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to understand project and testing requirements.
• Implement testing strategies to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Analyze test results, identify trends, and report findings to development teams.
• Continuously improve test automation processes and frameworks.
• Ensure robust test coverage across all application components.
• Periodically supporting testing events on second shift.
