Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an EGSE Automation Software Engineer to join the AI&T team on the Terawave program. You will develop automated test cases and sequences for space vehicle-level testing, and ensure coverage and reliability across development and qualification campaigns.

Responsibilities include implementing test scripts, debugging failures, and collaborating with test operations and systems engineering. Prior experience with SpaceWire, CAN, RS-422 or similar interfaces is desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer/Software/Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 3+ years in automated test development, embedded software, or ground support software in aerospace/defense.
• Proficiency in Python and scripting for hardware-interfacing automated tests.
• Experience with spacecraft/test development and hardware qualification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test cases and sequences for space vehicle-level testing.
• Implement test scripts per coverage requirements and verify pass/fail logic.
• Collaborate with test operations and systems engineering to translate requirements.
• Debug failures and trace root cause to software, interface, or hardware issues.
• Contribute to test software framework features and maintain CM practices.
• Support deployment and qualification of automated test suites for production testing.
• Document test cases and interfaces for team reference.
