Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Automation Test Engineer to design, develop, and implement automated testing frameworks using Python. You will lead a team of testers and collaborate across engineering to ensure high-quality software, with opportunities to support second shift testing events.

The role supports the Blue National Security unit and involves travel up to 15%. A strong SDLC background and experience with Selenium/PyTest are valued, along with Docker and C++ familiarity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in spacecraft test development, automation, or software/hardware testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in test automation using Python.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with Git.
• Strong problem-solving and communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to understand testing requirements.
• Implement testing strategies to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Analyze test results and report findings to development teams.
• Continuously improve test automation processes.
• Ensure robust test coverage across all components.
• Periodically supporting testing events on second shift.
