Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an EGSE Automation Software Engineer to join the AI&T team on the Terawave program. You will develop automated test cases and sequences for space vehicle-level testing, interfacing with hardware and software components.

Responsibilities include implementing test scripts, debugging failures, and collaborating with test operations and systems engineering. Experience with SpaceWire/CAN/RS-422 and Git is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 3+ years of automated test development, embedded software, or ground support software in aerospace/defense.
• Proficiency in Python and automated test scripts interfacing with hardware.
• Experience with spacecraft test development, execution or hardware qualification.
• Familiarity with hardware interface protocols (SpaceWire, CAN, RS-422).
• Experience with software configuration management (Git).
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test cases and sequences for space vehicle-level testing.
• Implement test scripts per coverage requirements and verify pass/fail criteria.
• Collaborate with test operations and systems engineering to translate requirements.
• Debug failures and trace root cause to software, interface, or hardware issues.
• Contribute to test software framework development under guidance.
• Document test cases and framework usage for team reference.
• Coordinate with EGSE hardware and test operations on interfaces.
• Capture and track anomalies; support disposition and root cause analysis.
