Now Hiring Spa Manager!

Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa is seeking a full-time spa manager for our full-service spa. The Spa Manager will lead a multi-disciplinary team, including Massage Therapists, Estheticians and Spa Associates. The scope of the role requires effective staffing, delegation and leadership coverage across the operating week. The ideal spa manager candidate is goal oriented, and growth minded with a proven background in sales management, spa operations, and customer service.

What You Will Lead:

People & Leadership. Recruit, onboard, coach and retain a high-performing team. Establish clear expectations and accountability, recognize strong performance, address performance gaps, resolve conflict effectively, and build a positive, cohesive culture.

Business Growth & Guest Experience. Lead membership and revenue growth while ensuring an exceptional guest experience. Coach the team to confidently educate guests about memberships and services and build long-term guest relationships.

Operations & Execution. Lead daily spa operations including staffing, scheduling, service capacity, inventory, opening and closing processes, and adherence to operating standards. Prioritize effectively, solve problems, and maintain a welcoming, organized and professional spa environment for guests and team members.

Planning, Performance & Change. Set goals, forecast staffing and operating needs, review performance data, and translate results into action. Identify trends and gaps, adjust plans when results are off track, and lead the team effectively through the changes inherent in opening and growing a new business.

Spa Manager Performance will be based on the following metrics:

• Team & Leadership - Recruit, develop and retain the team; establish accountability and a strong, cohesive culture.
• Membership & Revenue Growth - Build membership, achieve conversion and revenue goals, and respond effectively when performance is off plan.
• Operational Excellence & Guest Experience - Deliver a consistent guest experience, effective staffing and scheduling, and disciplined daily operations.

What you need to succeed in this role:

• 2-3 years of management experience preferred in spa/wellness, hospitality, fitness, retail, membership-based services, healthcare services, or another customer-facing business.
• Ability to promote the benefits of massage and skin care services.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and hold teams accountable while creating a positive workplace culture.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Results-driven and comfortable setting goals, reviewing performance data and adjusting plans when needed.
• Strong communication and guest-service skills.
• Comfortable leading through change in a growing business.
• Flexible availability appropriate for a seven-day operation, including some evenings and weekends.

About the New Bern Spa:

The New Bern Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa is a newly built location designed to provide a welcoming, professional and well-organized environment where guests can relax and team members can do their best work. The spa will offer professional massage, facial and related wellness services supported by a membership-based business model. Located in New Bern, the new spa offers the opportunity to build a business in an eastern North Carolina community with convenient access to the Crystal Coast. The spa will feature eight treatment rooms and operate seven days a week.

This location is independently owned and operated. The Spa Manager will work directly with the owner and will play a central role in establishing the team, culture, operating systems and performance expectations from the beginning.
