Job summary

The Edgewater Spa in Madison, WI, seeks a friendly Spa Receptionist to be the first point of contact for guests and to manage intake paperwork, reservations, and guest inquiries. You will promote spa services, assist with product sales, gift cards, and special requests, while ensuring a superior guest experience in a luxury setting.

Candidates should have prior spa or luxury hospitality reception experience, comfort with Spa Booker software, and strong customer service and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Previous reception experience with luxury spa or hospitality reception role is a plus.
• Previous Spa Booker software experience is a plus.
• Prior service and/or product sales experience.
• Able to use a computer and type quickly and efficiently.
• A caring, outgoing individual who can meet/exceed customer expectations.
• Excellent customer service skills with the desire to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, and process intake paperwork.
• Guide guests to relaxation lounge(s) or locker rooms and assist with directions for waiting areas.
• Build relationships with repeat guests and members, remembering names and preferences.
• Answer phones and book appointments, coordinate spa appointments to maximize revenue.
• Be knowledgeable of spa services and amenities, recommend treatments and add-ons.
• Be knowledgeable about retail product lines, sell products and respond to guest questions.
• Sell gift cards and gift card memberships.
• Assist guests with food and beverage requests and orders.
• At checkout, inquire about and resolve service quality issues; ensure retail is added and tips logged.
• Promote the spa brand and adhere to policies and standards.
• Keep displays neat and assist with inventory and other duties as needed.
