Job summary

AHC Hospitality is seeking a friendly Spa Desk Receptionist for the Amway Grand Plaza in Grand Rapids, MI. You will greet guests, assist with spa bookings, and help maintain a welcoming, professional front desk. Shifts typically run 8am–5pm or 10am–7pm, with weekend and holiday availability required.

• Maintain a clean, organized spa area and follow safety standards.

This position varies between 1st and 2nd shift, requiring weekend and holiday availability.

Typical shift times of 8am-5pm or 10am-7pm.

SUMMARY:

Serving guests at the spa desk/reception area while providing the highest level of service possible in an efficient, courteous and professional manner by following JW Marriott and Amway Grand Plaza standards of aggressive hospitality and adhering to guidelines and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Participate in an "aggressive hospitality program," greeting all guests with warmth and enthusiasm, and be attentive to their needs while they are with us.
• Preparing standard statistical reports, such as help desk incident reports
• Learn and follow all hotel policies and procedures pertaining to your area of work. Follow established uniform standards and comply with all other company policies.
• Practice safety standards and reports all unsafe conditions.
• Provide fast and courteous service to our guests; to accomplish this, a well-organized work area must be maintained.
• Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times as a goodwill ambassador of the AGPH to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Associates attitude, willingness to please guests, ability to get along with co-workers and supervisors.
• Ability to follow established guidelines, procedures and policies.
• Good record of attendance and punctuality at work.
• Adherence to prescribed grooming and appearance standards.
• Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
• Open and/or close the work day;
• Book appointments (Spa Booker);
• Greet & prepare guests for services;
• Check guests out and take payments (Volante);
• Help maintain the cleanliness of the spa;
• Provide customer care services as required; and
• Other tasks as required or requested by the Manager;
