Job summary

Appellation Healdsburg is seeking a Spa Attendant to maintain a clean, welcoming, and relaxing environment for spa guests. You will prepare treatment and relaxation areas, assist guests, handle check-ins and payments, and support the treatment team to ensure a seamless spa experience.

Ideal candidates bring excellent customer service, hospitality mindset, and comfort with spa software and front-desk operations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a spa, salon, wellness, retail, or medical front office setting preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience in customer service or hospitality.
• Computer-savvy and willing to learn spa software (training provided).
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Cosmetology license, esthetics background, or product sales experience is a plus.

Overview of Position:

The Spa Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, welcoming, and relaxing environment for spa guests. This position supports the daily operations of the spa by preparing treatment and relaxation areas, assisting guests with their needs, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and ensuring that the spa experience meets the property’s standards of service and hospitality.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greeting guests warmly and genuinely; creating a welcoming, calm first impression
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of all spa areas
• Answer phones, respond to inquiries, book appointments, and manage daily scheduling
• Support guest check‑ins and check‑outs, including payment processing
• Assist spa therapists and other team members with operational needs as directed
• Provide informed recommendations on retail products and spa services
• Maintain cleanliness and ambiance of the reception area and retail displays
• Assist with light administrative tasks, inventory, and laundry coordination
• Communicate effectively with the treatment team to ensure flow and timing
• Help guests feel seen, heard, and supported throughout their visit
• Maintain awareness of guest privacy and confidentiality
• Help maintain appropriate inventory levels and notify management when supplies need to be replenished
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct
• Demonstrate professionalism, respect, integrity, and teamwork in all interactions
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Essential Functions:

To perform the duties and requirements for this job, you must have the following physical abilities:

• Sit and stand for extended periods of time, walk up and down stairs
• Enter data into a computer terminal, operate standard office equipment, and use telephone
• See and read a computer screen and printed matter with or without vision aids
• Hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone
• Speak so that others may understand at normal levels and on the telephone
• Constant: sitting, standing and repetitive use of hands, arms, and legs
• Frequent: typing, use of mouse, bending of neck, climbing stairs
• Occasional: twisting of neck

You must have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, bend, stoop, and reach; lift and carry equipment and supplies; walking daily up and down the stairs and sitting for periods up to 4 hours and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with or without reasonable accommodations.
