Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking an Interim IT Auditor to support a SOX compliance initiative and ITGC testing. The role involves executing testing, evaluating controls, and documenting results within the SOX program.

This contract offers a quick ramp‑up and immediate contribution to ongoing compliance efforts. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on ITGC and SOX testing experience, with a preference for those familiar with AuditBoard and auditing in professional services or corporate settings.

Qualifications

• Strong ITGC audit and SOX testing experience.
• Hands‑on experience testing application controls, change management controls, and access controls.
• Experience documenting testing within a SOX compliance management tool.
• Ability to independently perform testing and produce high‑quality workpapers.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform SOX compliance testing, including sample selection, evidence collection, and testing documentation.
• Execute ITGC testing across key control areas, including: Application Controls, Change Management, User Access Management.
• Assess control effectiveness and document testing conclusions.
• Maintain complete and accurate workpapers within the SOX compliance platform.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external audit partners as needed.
• Assist with remediation follow-up and compliance support activities.
