Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Risk and Controls Lead to drive SOX and ICFR workstreams in a regulated environment. You will own end-to-end reviews, conduct risk assessments, oversee controls testing, and maintain audit-ready documentation.

The role requires strong experience in SOX testing and internal controls, with the ability to coordinate with Finance, Technology, and business partners while meeting milestones.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SOX testing, internal or external audit, or finance controls.
• Strong understanding of SOX, ICFR and financial reporting processes.
• Experience conducting controls testing, walkthroughs, and documenting working papers.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end SOX/ICFR reviews from planning to reporting.
• Perform risk assessments to identify significant processes and controls.
• Lead testing, evidence collection, and exception analysis with clear conclusions.
• Refresh narratives, control matrices, and flowcharts to keep docs audit-ready.
• Coordinate with control owners and stakeholders to obtain evidence and meet timelines.
