Job summary

KBR seeks an Internal Controls Manager to reinforce the ICFR framework and ensure SOX compliance across finance and IT. The role partners with Accounting, Internal Audit, and business stakeholders to design, implement, and test controls in a scalable, sustainable environment.

You will drive control readiness, remediation efforts, and statutory compliance across SpinCo and the standalone company as it evolves.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting, internal controls, SOX compliance, audit, financial reporting, or related function.
• Experience designing, implementing, or evaluating internal controls over financial reporting.
• CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, document, and maintain internal control framework for financial reporting.
• Lead SOX compliance activities including risk assessments and testing.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, IT, and Audit to assess control effectiveness.
• Support SpinCo readiness and standalone public company requirements.
• Evaluate processes to strengthen controls and mitigate risk.
• Coordinate audits and management testing with external auditors.
• Develop and maintain policies and process documentation.
• Monitor regulatory requirements and ensure compliance progress.
• Prepare analyses and reports for management.
• Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives.
