Job summary

Neros Technologies in Torrance, CA, is seeking an experienced Senior ICFR/SOX professional to lead the ICFR program as the company advances through IPO readiness. You will design and implement controls, test plans, and documentation across key processes, coordinating ITGC work with IT and external partners.

You will drive control testing, partner with process owners to remediate gaps, and communicate findings to the CFO and Audit Committee. A CPA/CIA and Big 4 background are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of progressive experience in internal controls, internal audit, or risk advisory with Big 4 foundation.
• Direct experience implementing a SOX program at IPO readiness or first-year public company.
• CPA, CIA, or equivalent certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
• Deep knowledge of COSO 2013, PCAOB standards, and SEC reporting for ICFR.
• Ability to design controls in unstructured environments and build documentation from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Design and run the ICFR framework end to end, including scoping, materiality, risk assessment, narratives, and control matrices across significant processes.
• Build the SOX program from the ground up: control design, testing calendars, evidence standards, and operating cadence.
• Design and execute control testing, develop test plans, sampling, and evaluate deficiencies for severity and disclosure implications.
• Partner with process owners to remediate gaps with remediation plans and deadlines, validating fixes through follow-on testing.
• Coordinate ITGC scoping and testing with IT and third-party providers across ERP, access, change management, and key interfaces.
• Act as primary liaison to external auditors and co-sourced internal audit, reporting status, risks, and deficiencies to CFO and Audit Committee.
