Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Internal Controls Manager to establish and enhance our ICFR environment. You will support SOX programs, partner with Accounting, IT, and Audit, and help drive control readiness for a potential spin-off and standalone public company framework.

The role requires evaluating processes, developing control documentation, and ensuring regulatory compliance across the organization, with emphasis on strong collaboration and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting, internal controls, SOX compliance, audit, financial reporting, or a related function.
• CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, documentation, and testing of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR).
• Drive SOX compliance activities including risk assessments, control documentation, testing coordination, and remediation.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, IT, Internal Audit and business stakeholders to assess control effectiveness and address risks.
• Support SpinCo readiness and standalone public company requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders for audits and testing.
