Job summary

PwC is seeking an Enterprise Risk Management/SOX Senior Associate to support audit and control-focused client work in Chicago. You will evaluate governance, risk management and internal control processes, mentor junior team members, and adapt to changing client needs.

You will interpret data, develop recommendations, and use technology-enabled methods to strengthen control environments and respond to change across financial reporting and business operations. Travel up to 60%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience.
• Preferred CIA/CPA/CISA certification.

Responsibilities

• Analyze enterprise risk and internal control processes for client engagements.
• Assess SOX and internal audit requirements across financial reporting and operations.
• Develop workstreams for design, testing, remediation of controls.
• Review process documentation, control narratives, and risk matrices for accuracy.
• Translate audit findings into practical recommendations for control improvements.
• Coordinate with client stakeholders and track follow-up actions.
• Apply auditing methodologies and data-driven solutions to streamline delivery.
• Mentor junior team members on tasks and procedures.
