PwC in New York seeks an Enterprise Risk Management/SOX Senior Associate to support client work within Audit and Assurance, evaluating governance, risk management, and internal control processes.

You will mentor junior team members, manage workstreams, and translate audit findings into practical control improvements, applying data-driven methods and digital tools to strengthen client controls and respond to change.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• At least 3 years of experience
• CIA/CPA/CISA certifications preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to mentor and develop junior staff

Responsibilities

• Analyze enterprise risk and internal control processes for client engagements
• Assess SOX and internal audit requirements across financial reporting and business operations
• Develop workstreams for control design, testing, and remediation activities
• Review process documentation, control narratives, and risk matrices for accuracy and completeness
• Interpret audit findings and translate them into practical recommendations for control improvements
• Coordinate with client stakeholders to gather information, discuss issues, and track follow-up actions
• Apply auditing methodologies, risk assessment tools, and digital solutions to streamline delivery
• Mentor junior team members on assigned tasks, work products, and technical procedures
